As a legal immigrant, who fairly recently earned the right to say that I am proud to be an American, I have a fresh view on what is going on in this great country. I came to the USA to escape the nanny state and socialism, and yet in the last few years this scourge is spreading here.

We need to return to the words and intentions of the Founding Fathers. To interpret the Constitution, do not try to adapt it to modern society, but go back and read what was said at the time by the writers themselves. In most cases they explain exactly how the clauses should be interpreted.
